This piece was featured in the 2023 Biennial at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, a prestigious juried exhibition curated by Juana Williams, Associate Curator of African American Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Selected from over 300 submissions, the show presented a diverse array of artistic voices from the region.

“And Then, an Island” was also honored as one of only two works selected to be printed in the official exhibition catalog.
