Description:
Full Circle captures a fleeting yet powerful moment: two children sit at the edge of the ocean, just as a wave crashes over them. It is a scene of innocence, wonder, and surrender — a metaphor for the cyclical nature of emotion, memory, and return.
This piece was created in dialogue with poet Denise Irene Marsh, as part of an ekphrastic collaboration. Verses from her poem Full Circle are embedded into the surface of the painting using braille, inviting both sighted and visually impaired viewers to connect with the work through multiple senses.
Part of the inclusive art project Otras Miradas, founded by the artist, this work speaks to the light that emerges from physical and emotional darkness — a visual and tactile language that transcends barriers.
